My name is Päivi, and I am originally from Finland. Since 2015 I have been living in Ollantaytambo in Sacred Valley, Peru.
I first visited the area in 2013 and was deeply moved by the mountain communities, the local schools, and the children living in the Andes. After that experience I returned to Ollantaytambo and worked with a local NGO supporting the community.
Today I run a small Shop connected to the Bunny Café called JOY & Bunnies. I care for my own bunnies as well as rescued bunnies that sometimes come to me from local people who need help caring for them.
JOY & Bunnies was created to help support the care of these bunnies. Every purchase helps with food, cages and veterinary care and place to stay for the bunnies.
